Jewellery Care
All my jewellery is made with 925 sterling silver but some items also include copper or brass (the material your jewellery is made from will be stated in the item’s description). All these metals can tarnish (a natural occurrence where metal discolours) overtime, however this process can happen quicker by not following correct jewellery care.

A lot of my jewellery has patina as part of the finishing process. A patina intentionally darkens certain areas of the jewellery and adds depth/definition. Over time patina can wear off or fade if not looked after. If your patina has worn off or needs a revamp then please get in touch and I can do this for a fee.

To keep your jewellery looking beautiful and reduce the risk of tarnish or patina fade then please follow these steps:

-
Don't wear your jewellery in water. Remove your jewellery before swimming, bathing, going in the hot tub, washing the dishes etc. Chlorine is not your jewellery's friend!

-
Avoid chemicals, cleaning products, cosmetics, perfumes and hair products coming into contact with your jewellery. Make your jewellery the last thing you put on when getting ready.

-
Remove your jewellery when exercising as sweat can cause tarnish to occur.

-
If you do notice tarnish occurring I recommend regular cleaning with a special silver cleaning cloth. I sell these on my website.
Jewellery set with stones needs to be looked after with care. Avoid dropping or knocking them as this can damage the stone. I am not responsible for any jewellery or stones that have become damaged once they have left my care.
